BeerTender & 5L kegs

The BeerTender is a draught dispenser the provides freshly tapped beer from 5L draught kegs. The BeerTender is smaller than the BLADE machine and plugs into mains electricity.

The machine comes with 10 tubes for connecting 5L kegs to the machine.

The BeerTender measures 450 x 274 x 490 mm. It weighs 5.5 kg.

The BeerTender machine comes with an energy rating of A+.

The BeerTender comes with a power cable, drip tray and tap handle. Included in any BeerTender order are 10 tubes to connect the BeerTender with a 5L draught keg.

Here are some instructions for how to insert a 5L keg into the BeerTender machine:

1. Turn on the BeerTender machine. The left LED will light up green to indicate the machine is on.

2. Press on the handle on top of the lid to open it.

3. Insert a 5L keg into the appliance. Please note that only BeerTender kegs are compatible with this machine.

4. Remove the tap cover from the machine by pulling straight up.

5. Take a BeerTender tube and attach the head of the tube into the keg. It should click into place.

6. Position the other end of the tube into the tap of the BeerTender machine.

7. Reattach the tap cover onto the machine. If the tap cover does not fit properly, check the tube is correctly position. Make sure the tap handle is angled at roughly 45 degrees, to prevent damaging the tube.

8. Gently close the lid. When the keg inside has reached the optimum temperature for serving, the LED on the right side of the display will turn green.

Remove the BeerTender from the packaging and place on a dry, clean, level surface. Set the drip tray and grate in place at the front of the appliance.

After installing the BeerTender, please rinse the dispensing spout - this is the only part of the machine to come in contact wit the beer. This spout should be washed after changing each keg. It can also go in the dishwasher. Turn the spout clockwise to remove from the housing.

Plug in your BeerTender and it's ready to insert your first pre-chilled 5L keg!

There are 2 ways to cool a 5L keg:

1. Inside the BeerTender: It will take approximately 15 hours to cool a keg to 4°C if the keg and machine are at an ambient temperature of 20°C.

2. In a fridge: It will take a approximately 12 hours to pre-chill your keg before placing it into the BeerTender.

Here are a few tips and tricks to get you started:

• Chill the keg for 15 hours (in the machine) or 12 hours (in the fridge) before loading.

• Make sure the glass you use it clean - rinse with lukewarm water (no soap or dishwasher).

• Tilt the glass to a 45° angle under the tap (don’t let tap touch glass or beer).

• Open the tap fully. Straighten glass as it fills. Skim foam to 2cm for the perfect head.

Please be aware that the first pint your pour from a keg may contain a lot of foam.

If there is a keg inside your beer machine, it must remain powered on to keep the keg at the correct temperature.

If there is no keg inside, you can unplug it to save electricity. However, we recommend turning it back on a few hours before starting to use it again, so that it already has time to cool down.

The cooling function of the BeerTender may produce a barely audible noise.

Condensation should not be regularly appearing on your BeerTender.

It is not dangerous if the tube leaks inside the BeerTender, because the cooling area is closed. It is important, though, to dry the inside with a rag or sponge between each keg, even if the tube doesn’t leak, because there could be condensation as well.

You will know your beer is ready to pour when the green light indicating temperature (on the right side of the panel) switches on.

No, 5L beer kegs are made to be used with the BeerTender machine, or on their own, not with another machine.

Set up your machine indoors, in a room with a temperature between 12°C and 30°C and on a flat surface.

Do not install your device near a heat source or directly exposed to sunlight.

Try not to have the vent valves close to a wall, but leave some space to avoid possible overheating.

The service tubes for Beertender dispensers will allow you to use your 5L kegs with your Beertender dispenser.

To preserve the quality of the beer, and for safety reasons, please use a different tube for each new use. Instructions for use: When installing a keg, simply insert the tube into the tap of your dispenser, close the cap of the keg and then the lid of your Beertender, before pouring yourself a glass.

It is normal for the first glass to be mostly foam.

3. Click on "Add to cart". If you have not already ordered your free tubes within the past year, the price will automatically be adjusted to €0.00 in your cart.
4. Enter your delivery information. You will not need to enter your payment information for the free set of tubes.

Please note that this offer is only available on the French website and not in other markets. You are entitled to one free pack of tubes every 12 months . If you need more tubes, you can also order and pay for 10 or 40 tubes. We also send one free tube with every keg purchased on our website.

Please note that it is not possible to order the tubes by phone or email, but only through our website.

The tubes are normally delivered in 10-15 working days, as indicated on our website and in the confirmation email you receive after placing your order.

The tubes are shipped via the postal service. For this reason, tube orders can take up to 4 weeks to be delivered. There is no tracking link for the tubes, but we always ship them within two business days of receiving the order.

For orders of 4 sets of tubes or more, there is a package tracking link and they are delivered in 3 working days.

A computer error is currently affecting our website and is showing all tube orders as "pending", but this does not mean that the tubes have not been sent.

Please note that when you order two or three sets of tubes, they are sent separately and may be delivered a few days apart.

You do not need to be at home for delivery, they will be left in the mailbox (except for orders of more than 4 lots).

The tubes are delivered in 3 to 10 working days and separately from the rest of the order, as stated on our website and in the confirmation email you received after placing your order.

You will therefore receive them later than the rest of the order, and in a different package.

Please note that when you order one, two, or three sets of tubes, they are shipped separately and may arrive a few days apart. If you order four or more sets, they will be shipped together in a single package on the same day, and you will receive a tracking link.

It is important to clean your BeerTender between each use, preferably between each keg change.

To clean the beer pump machine:

• Unplug the machine before cleaning and wipe it inside and outside with a soft cloth or sponge.
• Clean your drip tray after each use with hot, soapy water.
• Remove the dispensing spout and wash - it can go in the dishwasher.
• Do not immerse the product in water.
• Do not use harsh cleaning detergents.
• If a tube leaks, make sure to dry the inside with a rag or sponge as soon as possible.
• Make sure to clean the ventilator grill at the back regularly to keep it free of dust.

A 5L draught keg is designed for storing and serving beer. It's perfect for home use, or to take to a party or to the park as it's very portable. You can use a 5L keg incombination with the BeerTender machine, or on its own.

Unlike BLADE kegs, 5L kegs can be used without a machine. Each keg comes with a plastic tap which can be used to dispense beer. Please note that tubes are not needed to operate a keg on its own, but if you want to use a 5L keg with your BeerTender, you will need one new tube per keg. Your BeerTender machine will come with 10 free tubes, but if you need more they can be ordered from our website.

The tubes are delivered separately from the rest of your order, within 3-10 working days. This should be clear in your confirmation email. Please note that if you order up to 3 packs of tubes, they are sent in separate parcels. If you order 4 or more packs of tubes, they will be sent in the same parcel.

Unlike BLADE kegs, 5L kegs can be used without a machine. 5L beer kegs measure 28cm x 17cm (height x diameter).

You can store unopened 5L beer kegs at room temperature until the end of the month indicated on the side of the keg (BBD). Once opened, a keg can be kept for 30 days if stored in the machine or in a fridge.

We sell kegs with at least 1 month remaining before the Best Before Date (BBD) indicated on the side of the keg. 5L beer kegs can be used until the end of the month stated in the BBD. After this date, quality may decrease.

Store your 5L beer kegs at room temperature. Make sure to keep 5L beer kegs upright and avoid sudden movements to prevent foaming. Never store 5L draught kegs in direct sunlight or high temperatures to ensure safety.

Your 5L keg should be pre-chilled before use, either in the BeerTender machine (for 15 hours) or in the friddge (for 12 hours).

Do not store 5L beer machine kegs in the freezer. This will diminish the quality of the beer and could lead to more serious outcomes like a keg exploding.

5L beer kegs which are already opened can be stored in your fridge for up to 30 days.

Once you're finished with your kegs of beer, you can check your local council's webiste to find recycling points close to you. Recycling helps recover valuable materials and reduces waste.

5L kegs of beer should not leak. Please contact us if this is the case. If your keg leaks slightly inside the machine, this is not a problem. Please wipe with a damp cloth.

If your keg is pre-chilled it should not foam, although the first glass that you pour from each keg may foamy. This is normal for draught beer. If more than 1 glass is significantly foamy, please contact our Customer Care team. It is helpful if you can record a video of your pour and the resulting foam. Our team may ask you to record yourself pouring again during our troubleshooting process.

The BeerTender machine comes with 2 years warranty. If there is a problem with your machine, we will send it to our repair partners to find the problem. They will arrange for your machine to be picked up and delivered back to you. If your machine is out of warranty, we'll direct you to our repair partners.
