Enjoy responsibly

“Too much” of anything is never good. The same naturally applies to alcohol consumption.

Responsible alcohol consumption is part of a healthy lifestyle. At Beerwulf, we believe in enjoying alcohol and drinking in moderation. But let there be no misunderstanding: we strongly disapprove of alcohol abuse.

For those who choose to enjoy alcoholic beverages, there are clear guidelines for responsible consumption. The drinking advice from the Dutch Foundation for Responsible Alcohol Consumption (STIVA) recommends one to two standard glasses of beer (25 cl each) per day for women. For men, the recommendation is two to three standard glasses.

In certain situations, it is recommended not to consume alcohol at all. This includes alcohol in combination with driving, work, sports, medication, pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Enjoying alcoholic beverages is primarily the responsibility of you, the consumer. Parents also have a responsibility towards their children. In addition, proper education and information from brewers, hospitality businesses, retailers and governments are important.

We believe that alcohol-related issues are best addressed together. At Beerwulf, we see ourselves as part of the solution rather than part of the problem. That is why we have promoted moderate consumption since the very beginning — alcohol abuse has no place in that.

We sell alcoholic products so that adult consumers can enjoy them responsibly. Alcohol abuse is something nobody wants. Neither do we.

Beerwulf exclusively targets people aged 18 and over and does not sell or deliver alcoholic beverages to minors under the age of 18. For example, we verify age four times before one of our packages is handed over to an adult customer.

Fortunately, 85% of young adults over 18 consume alcohol responsibly.

At the same time, we believe it is important to inform young people and their parents about the dangers of excessive alcohol consumption. It is well known that young people tolerate alcohol less well than adults. We therefore remind parents who allow children under 18 to consume alcohol that this may negatively affect brain development.

We support the views of STIVA, the industry organisation committed to responsible alcohol consumption.
